The idea and the difficulty behind the process is to capture the split second that one or more water drops collide in midair off of a jet or column of water caused by a splash. Some of the shapes are repeatable to a degree, but each image is completely unique in shape. These images demonstrate in fine detail what goes on in the world around us every time it rains.
